Planning a trip from Michigan with stops along the way to see some tourist attractions through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

General Plan is to back country camp in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park , check out the Black hills, explore Wind Cave National Park, and then back country camp in the Badlands National Park.

I have ordered Topos of the areas that I plan to camp. I have also packed up two bags for hiking. One larger bag that will contain my supplies needed for overnight camping along with the camera tripod strapped to it, and my smaller day pack.
In my smaller day pack I have packed up water and general camera gear. I plan to carry three lenses with me. I will carry my 15-30, 18-135, 55-300mm lenses. I would love to carry more but adding additional lenses would just make my pack heavier.
I have a hiking partner that will be joining with me, we plan to split some of the weight by just carrying one tent, and some additional weight for some light weight camping chairs(a must if you hate sitting on the ground)

At this point we are all packed and ready to go. Ready for a couple long drives across the midwest to enjoy the scenic drives of North America.
